Join us at the Fall 2026 5K!

After a season of hard work, growth, and fun, our Girls on the Run participants are ready to cross the finish line, and we want you there cheering them on! On Sunday, December 6, 2026 at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, gates open at 7:30am and the 5K starts at 9am.

There are lots of ways to be part of the day:

Volunteer and help make the event a success, from directing the course to handing out water and celebrating at the finish line.

Run as a Running Buddy and run alongside a girl, offering encouragement every step of the way.

Run as a Community Runner and join the fun, show your support, and be part of a morning full of energy and joy.

Run the 5K!

Volunteer at the 5K!

Congratulations Jamie & Greg!

Congratulations to Jamie and Greg Black — our 2026 Remarkable Volunteer Award Winners!

We are thrilled to celebrate Jamie and Greg Black, recipients of Girls on the Run International's 2026 Remarkable Volunteer Award. Since 2018, this national honor has recognized volunteers whose extraordinary dedication helps bring the GOTR mission to life — and this year, two of our own were nominated by our council for their outstanding impact.

Jamie Black, a longtime executive board member and leader of Girls on the Run Philadelphia, has been a driving force behind our council's growth and success. Greg Black, a devoted council supporter, has shown up time and again. Together, Jamie and Greg represent what it means to go above and beyond for the girls in our community through volunteering, fundraising and sponsorship. Their commitment reaches far beyond a single season, and we are endlessly grateful for everything they do. Join us in celebrating this well-deserved recognition!

Save the Date: 2027 Sneaker Soiree

Mark your calendars for Thursday, April 8, 2027. Our annual Sneaker Soiree returns, and we would love for you to join us. This event raises critical funds to support the 75% of girls in our program who receive financial assistance. Every dollar raised helps ensure that cost is never a barrier to participation, giving more girls the opportunity to build confidence, character, and lifelong skills.

More details, including sponsor, venue and ticket information, to come.
