Upcoming Volunteer Opportunites

A light purple background with the words "Upcoming volunteer opportunities" in dark purple. Decorative flower graphics surround the words.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Girls on the Run!

Our greatest need for volunteers is always for coaches; which is a 10-week committment for about 4 hours per week over the season. Learn more about coaching.

Throughout the year, we have some one-time volunteer opportunities, giving more flexibility to people whose schedule doesn't allow for the commitment of coaching. Listed below are our current one-time volunteer needs, with instructions for getting involved. To ensure you're always up to date on our opportunities, sign up for our mailing list and follow us on social media (@gotrphilly on all platforms).

  • Saturday, March 25th: We are helping behind the scenes at the Philadelphia Love Run! We are working a shift at the event expo on Saturday, March 25th (race day is Sun 3/26) starting at 8am. This volunteer shift will be at the Philadelphia Convention Center. The exact role description and end time will be provided closer to the event date. To join our volunteer group and opt-in to event communications, send an email to erin.skolte@girlsontherun.org. Please provide your name, email, and phone number. You'll receive confirmation via a calendar invitation!
  • Sunday, June 4th: Join us at our celebratory 5K Fun Run at the Philadelphia Navy Yard! We have a variety of fun roles available. Learn more here.
